Russian IT companies can get the right to make payments in cryptocurrency
As it became known, the association of developers of Russian software "Russoft", sent a roadmap to the Ministry of Finance. The map contains a proposal to allow Russian IT companies to make payments in cryptocurrency when exporting their solutions. The document is referred to by Vedomosti.
Those responsible for the implementation of the roadmap are proposed to be divided between several departments at once. Among them are the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, as well as the Ministry of Finance. The association expects that the departments will take into account the proposals in the roadmap of the document.
Why does the association want to allow Russian IT companies to make payments in cryptocurrency
Representatives of the Russoft association believe that settlements in cryptocurrency will help to completely remove or reduce payment restrictions in transactions with foreign partners. In addition, calculations in cryptocurrency will help to reduce costs when making such calculations for the export of IT solutions.
The document also indicates that the issue of using alternative payment solutions should be worked out, experimental legal regimes should be established.
The association also proposes to work out a mechanism for the abolition of currency control for an IT company of the Russian Federation. It may be necessary to allocate additional subsidies and loans to companies in the currency of friendly countries.
The document calls on the departments to establish appropriate preferences for procurement for domestic software due to the financial motivation of partners. It is proposed to create public-private, joint ventures with companies from friendly countries.
Will Russian IT companies be allowed to make payments in cryptocurrency
The roadmap has been submitted for consideration by the departments. It is unknown how long they will study it, and what decision they will make. Perhaps by the end of 2022 the situation will become clearer. If, after all, Russian IT companies are able to make payments in the crypt when exporting their solutions, this will help them become more competitive in the global market.
In this situation, much will depend on the position of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. As you know, the head of the Central Bank is very skeptical about all cryptocurrencies, considering them extremely risky and volatile assets. Maybe other agencies will be able to convince the Central Bank of the Russian Federation to change its position for IT companies.
